Organized by the Konya Chamber of Industry with the support of the Presidency of Defense Industries, the 8th Konya Defense Industry Supplier Meetings were held at the TÜYAP Konya Fair Center with the participation of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and President of the Presidency of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik also attended the event.

 

KTÜN ATTRACTED ITS ACADEMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FAIR

 

Our university had its own stand at the fair, showcasing its engineering infrastructure, research laboratories, Teknokent structure, and defense industry-focused projects. The university's stand showcased projects in areas such as defense technologies, advanced materials research, artificial intelligence-supported systems, robotics, and mechatronics applications.

 

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik met with company representatives, industry executives, and academics who visited the KTÜN stand at the fair and made assessments on strengthening university-industry collaboration.

 

Our Rector highlighted Konya's defense industry production capacity and said, “First and foremost, I would like to express my pleasure at being at this fair, which is of great importance to our city and our country. As Konya Technical University, we are mobilizing our engineering expertise, research infrastructure, and human resources to contribute to our country's domestic and national defense technologies. This gathering, which further strengthens university-industry collaborations, is a significant opportunity for both our city and our country.”

 

The event, which opened on November 5th, will continue until November 7th.
