Konya Technical University Defense, Space and Aviation Technologies Application and Research Center started its activities on 5th January 2020 within the framework of the regulation published in the Official Gazette numbered 30999.
The objectives are:
a) To reach national targets in defense, space and aviation technologies and to minimize technological and economic foreign dependency while achieving these targets and to become a center of expertise and technology that will support national technological and scientific development with original technologies to be developed.
b) To contribute to the development of the defense industry by conducting research, examination, development, and application on defense, space and aviation technologies, to support the work of experienced researchers, to ensure that new researchers are trained.
c) To bring together experienced researchers and coordinate interdisciplinary studies by establishing collaborations with relevant centers, universities, institutions and organizations.
ç) To strengthen the infrastructure of the Center by participating in national and international projects.
d) To contribute to the technological development of the defense industry.
a) To conduct research, investigation, development, application on defense, space and aviation technologies, to develop utility models and patented products.
b) To encourage interdisciplinary master's and doctorate studies on defense, space and aviation technologies, and to propose research topics.
c) To work on solutions to reduce foreign dependency in defense, space and aviation technologies.
ç) To cooperate with defense industry stakeholders on issues related to defense, space and aviation technologies, to produce solutions and to provide consultancy services at the border stipulated by the legislation.
d) To prepare projects for the activity areas of the Center for national and international public and private sector institutions and organizations.
e) To contribute to the national and international knowledge by organizing courses, seminars, workshops, congresses and symposiums in order to improve their studies.
f) To present the scientific and technical findings obtained as a result of research and application studies in reports, bulletins, projects, books, articles, magazines and similar publications.
g) To carry out other works in accordance with the objectives of the Center determined by the Board of Directors.
