Objective:
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning aims to train qualified individuals who can make fundamental and lasting contributions in the field of artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies. One of the program's main goals is to ensure that students possess lifelong learning skills that will enable them to continue their personal and professional development after graduation. This undergraduate program aims to strengthen students' analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative solution-development abilities, while also providing them with the necessary technical knowledge, tools, and methods in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Within the program, students are provided with an academic and technological infrastructure that allows them to continuously improve their knowledge and skills; their professional competencies are supported through research, application, and project-based studies. Furthermore, students are encouraged to participate in international and national exchange programs such as ERASMUS, enabling them to interact with different cultures and academic environments, thus achieving academic and cultural gains at national and international levels.

Definiton of the Program:
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This program supports students in becoming experts in modern AI technologies and applications by providing them with a strong educational foundation. The educational process equips students with both theoretical and practical skills, while also reinforcing their sense of professional, social, and ethical responsibility. Furthermore, students are encouraged to be sensitive to national and global issues and are equipped with advanced written and oral communication skills. The program closely follows developments in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning and continuously updates its educational content accordingly. Thanks to this approach, graduates are equipped to develop innovative AI solutions and meet the needs of the industry.
Admission and Registration Requirements:
Candidates to be admitted to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Konya Technical University are expected to have graduated from high school or equivalent institutions. If the candidate has a foreign high school diploma, its equivalency must be approved by the Ministry of National Education. Candidates who meet the required scores and conditions for the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Konya Technical University in that academic year as a result of the Student Selection Examination, and students who have gained the right to register in the department according to the provisions of the Konya Technical University International Student Admission Guidelines, can register by bringing the documents specified by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center). Those who will register for the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning undergraduate program must not be enrolled in another formal or distance education undergraduate program with limited quotas, as stated in the Konya Technical University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations.
Recognition of Prior Learning:
For students transferring horizontally or vertically to the department, their prior learning is evaluated by an adaptation committee according to the department's curriculum, and their adaptation is carried out accordingly. For students pursuing a double major or minor in the department, their prior learning is evaluated according to the regulations concerning the principles of transfer between associate and bachelor's degree programs, double majors, minors, and inter-institutional credit transfer in higher education institutions.
Graduation Requirements:
To graduate from the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Program, a student must have taken and passed all required courses, completed practical work, internships, and similar assignments, and have a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00.
Measurement and Evaluation Principles:
The measurement and evaluation principles for the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Program are determined according to the Konya Technical University Associate and Undergraduate Teaching and Examination Regulations.
