Our Kapsül Yazgit PRUVA Team Represents Türkiye at the Njord Challenge 2026 Held in Norway

The Kapsül Yazgit PRUVA Team, consisting of students from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, is representing Konya Technical University and Türkiye on the international stage at the Njord – The Autonomous Ship Challenge 2026 competition held in Trondheim, Norway, under the guidance of their advisor Prof. Dr. Murat Ceylan from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Bringing together university teams from different countries around the world, the Njord Challenge is among the important international organizations where innovative technologies and engineering solutions developed in the field of autonomous marine vehicles compete.

The Kapsül Yazgit PRUVA Team, competing in the event, is carrying out its tasks with an Autonomous Unmanned Surface Vehicle developed entirely through its own resources and knowledge. The developed vehicle has the capabilities to perceive its surroundings, plan its route, detect and avoid obstacles, and perform assigned tasks without the need for human intervention.

Following extensive design, software, electronics, and mechanical studies, our students participating in the international competition are demonstrating their engineering knowledge and skills on the same platform as university teams from around the world.

As Konya Technical University, we are proud that the innovative technologies developed by our students are being carried to international platforms, and we wish our Kapsül Yazgit PRUVA Team success in the competition.
