Our university has been awarded a grant for the 2025 contract period for its project submitted as part of Erasmus+ Main Action 1, Individual Mobility for Learning (KA171). Thanks to the project supported by the Turkish National Agency, KTÜN will strengthen its international collaborations by conducting student mobility with higher education institutions outside Europe.
The project will include student exchanges with universities in Malaysia, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Algeria. Collaborations will be carried out with the University of Malaya (Malaysia), Kolegji AAB and Universitéti i Mitrovicës “Isa Boletini” (Kosovo), Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University (Azerbaijan), Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University (Ukraine), and the École Nationale Supérieure de Biotechnologie (Algeria).
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik emphasized the importance of the success achieved with the Erasmus+ KA171 project in terms of the university's international goals, saying, “As Konya Technical University, we value providing our students with greater opportunities on a global scale. The grant we received as part of Erasmus+ KA171 will not only increase student mobility but also strengthen our scientific and academic collaborations with universities in different regions. I would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to the implementation of this project, which contributes to our university's internationalization vision.”
Our university's Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muharrem Hilmi Aksoy, commented on the project: “I would like to thank our assistant coordinator, Lecturer Dr. Teslime Gökgöl, and our institutional staff for their dedicated efforts in preparing this project, which will increase our university's global visibility. We will provide new academic experiences and intercultural learning opportunities for our students.” With the Erasmus+ KA171 project, our university will provide its students with the opportunity to receive education in different cultures and will make significant contributions to the university's internationalization vision.
