Our university participated in the NAFSA: Association of International Educators 2026 Annual Conference & Expo, which is among the most prestigious organizations in the field of international higher education. KTUN achieved significant success by being among the limited number of Turkish higher education institutions entitled to benefit from the free registration support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkish National Agency.
The conference, which was held in Orlando, USA in May 2026 and brings together universities, educational institutions, and stakeholders operating in the field of internationalization from all around the world every year; is of great importance in terms of developing global collaborations in higher education, increasing student and academician mobility, and creating new strategic partnerships.
Representing Konya Technical University, which took part under the Study in Türkiye pavilion that contributes to the international promotion of Turkish higher education, were our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik and Vice Coordinator of the Corporate Foreign Relations Coordinatorship Inst. Dr. Teslime Bağcı.
OUR RECTOR: “OUR INTERNATIONAL VISIBILITY IS STRENGTHENING”
During the conference, bilateral meetings were held with higher education institutions and international educational organizations from different countries at our university stand, and new academic cooperation opportunities were discussed. In addition, contacts were made to develop existing international partnerships, and significant steps were taken in line with our university’s education, research, and project-oriented internationalization goals.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik included the following statements in his evaluation regarding the NAFSA 2026 participation: "Taking part in a globally respected platform like NAFSA is extremely valuable in terms of increasing the international visibility of Konya Technical University. We had the opportunity to directly convey our university’s scientific capacity, educational opportunities, and vision open to cooperation to international stakeholders. Such organizations accelerate our university’s internationalization goals and pave the way for sustainable academic partnerships."
