Program Definition: Computer and internet greatly affect human and community life. Since the second half of the twentieth century, our life became computer-dependent with the speed of light. We now live in a time called the computer age, the information age, or the internet age. The Computer Engineering Department offers a unique opportunity for young bright minds to develop themselves in the disciplines of computer science, computer software, and hardware. Computer Engineering Curriculum has been prepared carefully by examining its example courses and course contents in Turkey and abroad. This program, which is proposed to be opened, is a department that has been teaching at universities both in Turkey and abroad for many years and has an important place in social sciences in the scientific aspect. While preparing the courses that will take place in the department, elective courses, as well as the basic courses in the relevant departments of the given universities, have been carefully studied. Besides, the content of the exams conducted in areas where students who will graduate from the department can work was also reviewed. Thus, in the program, it was tried to cover the latest developments in the courses and the knowledge and skills that graduates of the department will need in business life as much as possible. In this context, students begin with introductory courses such as functional and object-oriented programming and algorithm design, which form the basis of important intermediate topics such as data structures and algorithm analysis, operating systems, programming languages, databases, computer networks, and the Internet. They also take lessons from mathematics, science, and other engineering branches to further develop themselves and assist their future work. Our program is planned for students who want to deepen their knowledge and expertise on certain topics in Computer Engineering, allowing them to work in different ways according to their interests. These preferences are grouped into five groups. 1. Multimedia Systems Preference Group 2. Information Security and Network Systems Preference Group 3. Distributed and Embedded Systems Preference Group 4. Intelligent Systems Preference Group 5. Software and Database Systems Preference Group. In the last year, our students also receive a graduation project where they can do a comprehensive project of the kind they will encounter in real life. Faculty members in the department believe that neither theory nor practice will be sufficient alone in computer science and engineering. For this reason, the courses are prepared in a certain theory and practice balance to enable students to fully comprehend the topics in the department. In this context, 5 laboratories, such as Computer and Software Systems Laboratory, Network Systems Laboratory, Digital Systems Laboratory, Electronic Systems Laboratory, and Research Laboratory, are available for undergraduate students. Students can use these laboratories for homework, projects, and research or entertainment purposes throughout their learning lives. To obtain a BS degree in Computer Engineering by the Bologna criteria, students must meet 200 ECTS from the compulsory courses of computer engineering and 40 ECTS from technical and non-technical elective courses. The total ECTS required to graduate is 240. Also, students must complete two industrial internships in a computer-related company, consisting of a total of 60 (30x2) working days.

Admissions Registration Conditions: Candidates who will be admitted to the Computer Engineering Department of Konya Technical University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences are expected to graduate from high school or equivalent schools.
