Description of the Program: In our department, the education is provided in three different programs: Machine, Machine Drawing and Construction and Agricultural Machinery Program. These programs educate machine technicians who can create computer aided design with the knowledge and skills of vocational courses such as design and manufacturing methods, technical drawing, material knowledge, hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering, agricultural machinery etc., and who can manufacture and assemble machine parts with conventional and modern machine tools, machining and chipless manufacturing methods. The program is a 2-year associate degree program. It consists of 4 terms. A total of 15 weeks of courses are offered each term. In addition, there are 2 internship periods each lasting 30 days.

Admission and Registration Requirements: If the candidates have a high school or equivalent diploma and get enough grades from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) in Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), they are eligible to enroll in our programs depending on the quota. The associate degree programs that the graduates of Vocational and Technical High Schools can enrol by obtaining additional marks are explained in the HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION EXAM (YKS) GUIDELINE.

Recognition of Previous Learning: Students studying in the programs may be exempted from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. Students may be exempted from this course if the content and credit of the course taken in another institution is in accordance with the content of the course given in this program and approved by the School Directorate.

Requirements for Graduation: In order to graduate from associate degree programs, students must be successful in all the compulsory and elective courses (a total of 120 ECTS) that they must take in their program and complete their compulsory internship (Industrial Based Education - EBE) as 30 working days at the end of both academic years. Students receive education in this program for 2 years (4 terms).

The Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Assessment and Evaluation process is based on Konya Technical University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Exam Regulations. Absolute Grading System is applied in the evaluation of students' exam grades. In order to register for the courses within the period specified in the Academic Calendar at the beginning of the semester, and to take the final exam and make-up exam, students need to have attended at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the applied courses. Students who fail in applied courses must fulfil the class attendance and other policies again. The success grade of a course is determined according to 40% of the score obtained from the mid-term performance and 60% of the score obtained from the final exam / make-up exam. In order to be successful in a course, students must get at least 30 points out of 100 points in final / make-up exam in the associate degree programs. The evaluation of a course in a term is done through midterm, homework, project, case analysis, seminar, laboratory work, field work, workshop application, studio and similar tools. Final Exam / Make-up Exam is the exam that is taken at the end of the term and that covers all the topics and studies during the term. Students who fulfill the class attendance policy, who are successful in their homework, studies and similar activities and applied courses can take the final exam. The make-up exams are for those who have the right to take the final exam, but have not taken the final exam, or who have received a DC grade after the final exam. The midterm exams, seminars, projects, homework and similar tools to be used in the calculation of the term performance score which are determined by the instructor, their number and contribution percentages are finalized with the approval of the department committee and shown in the course information package by relevant course instructor until the beginning of the term.

Employment Opportunities: Students who graduate from the program are employed in the machinery manufacturing industry with and without machining manufacturing methods as "Manufacturing, Quality Control, Factory Maintenance Technicians". In addition, there are vertical transfer opportunities to the relevant departments of Engineering Faculties.

Transition to Higher Degree Programs: Students who are graduated from Machine, Machine Drawing and Construction and Agricultural Machinery Programs will be able to do vertical transfer to the undergraduate programs of Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, the Department of Marine Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Agricultural Machinery at relevant universities.
