Develops information and communication systems strategies, closely follows technological developments in this field, ensures that IT personnel acquire up-to-date knowledge, prepares medium- and long-term plans, and carries out, finalizes, and monitors projects within this framework.
Establishes standards for the establishment and use of information and communication systems within the University and for meeting related demands; takes necessary measures to ensure that IT services are carried out effectively, efficiently, promptly, and in coordination; and conducts supervision and regulation.
Conducts quality and improvement activities to ensure the efficient use of information and communication systems; takes necessary measures to ensure the uninterrupted operation of systems and applications; determines priorities within the framework of work plans and performs or commissions maintenance and repair activities at the technical service level.
Follows developments in hardware, software, and communication technologies; supports meeting the University’s software and hardware needs in the field of information and communication systems, prepares technical specifications, and contributes to procurement processes.
Ensures the regular flow of information over the University’s internet and intranet networks; develops and updates the website.
Provides consultancy services to the Rectorate and other academic/administrative units on matters related to information and communication systems, and offers training and support to users.
Designs, develops, operates, and updates, in line with technological developments, the necessary information and communication systems to ensure that the University can effectively, efficiently, and securely fulfill its duties in accordance with its mission and vision.
Ensures online and offline data flow and coordination between systems at the national and international levels in areas within the University’s field of responsibility.
Carries out and implements the necessary activities for internet-based information sharing, data collection, publishing, e-mail services, and similar processes related to the University’s IT services.
