MISSION

Our Department, which commenced its activities following the establishment of Konya Teknik Üniversitesi in 2018, has undertaken the duty of establishing the necessary infrastructure to achieve the goal of a contemporary university by using the allocated budget effectively and efficiently. In this context, our responsibilities include the construction of required physical facilities (buildings for education, training and research, as well as social and cultural areas), maintenance and repair of existing facilities, development of infrastructure and landscaping works, and the uninterrupted provision of electricity, water, sewage, heating and communication services, along with all kinds of technical services.

  • To conduct studies and evaluations regarding the university’s needs and priorities related to buildings, facilities and similar requirements, and to report the findings to the higher authorities.

  • To prepare the university’s annual investment programs and the related budget in line with the objectives set by the Rectorate.

  • To prepare relevant projects and tender documents within the scope of investment programs; to finalize tenders, supervise construction works, and take delivery of completed projects.

  • To ensure the uninterrupted provision of the campus’s electricity, water, sewage, heating and communication services by meeting materials and expenses through the relevant units; and to carry out minor urgent maintenance and repairs in a timely manner without disrupting activities.

  • To ensure the maintenance and repair of existing university buildings within a planned and scheduled framework.

  • To sustain campus afforestation activities and the establishment of green areas, with materials and expenses met by the relevant units.

VISION

To provide all kinds of technical services that will enable our university to enhance and sustain its productivity and social services by carefully evaluating global developments while taking into account the economic conditions of our country.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our Department began providing services on 18 May 2018, following the establishment of our University. It operates within a total physical area of 1,090.7 m² at the Rectorate Service Building located in the Development Campus. The facilities include: a 138 m² department head office, a 149 m² central working office and a 26 m² project office on the first floor; and on the ground floor, a 68 m² working office, a 75.2 m² technician office, a 14 m² technical staff office, a 93 m² technical workshop, and 10 storage areas totaling 627.5 m². The Department continues its activities with 26 personnel.

Our Department aims to increase both the quality and quantity of total usable areas by preparing project and tender documents for university buildings and facilities, carrying out construction-related tenders, preparing campus landscape plans, performing maintenance and repair works of existing buildings, supervising construction processes, and taking delivery of completed works.
