A Protocol on Young Employment was Signed Between Our University and MEDAŞ

A vocational training-cooperation protocol was signed between our university and the General Directorate of Meram Electricity Distribution Corporation (MEDAŞ) for the employment of young people. Students who will participate in training courses with the protocol will be able to be employed in the distribution company after they graduate from the university.

 

According to the protocol signed between Our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik and MEDAŞ General Manager Erol Uçmazbaş, employment of students, scholarship and sharing of professional experience are the main objectives. With the signed protocol, it is planned to give theoretical and practical training to the students studying in the field of electricity and energy, two days a week, in order to improve their professional knowledge and skills in the enterprises of the distribution company in Konya. Trainings will be supported by courses, seminars and field application activities. The purpose of these applications will be; to contribute to the development of the fields related to the developing new technologies by comparing the compatibility of the education received by the students in theory and their practice in the sector. Priority will be given to the employment of students in 6 cities which are in the MEDAŞ service area with the proficiency tests to be conducted to them after their graduation.

 

The protocol signed at the Development Campus covers various obligations between the parties, such as increasing the quality of vocational and technical education, ensuring that successful students prefer vocational and technical education, supporting the sustainability of success, rewarding diligent students and aiming to increase cooperation between the sector and the school. In addition it also covers some criteria as providing scholarships for students and participating in employment.
