The Alpha Event, which is traditionally organized by the Industrial Engineering Society every year, was held this year with intense participation. The industry professionals participated in the event and shared their experiences with the students. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Deveci, Assistant to the Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Deniz Şimşek, academic staff and students of the Department of Industrial Engineering attended the event.
Among the speakers of this year's program, which was held in the Conference Hall of Gelişim Campus, AYD Automotive Operations Director Yusuf Çakal, THY Cockpit Performance and Competency Development Chief Nedim Yardımcı and Eti Makine Senior R&D Engineer Yağmur Özel took part. The speakers shared their knowledge and experiences on a wide range of topics from industrial processes to the aviation sector, from R&D projects to personal career development.
Yusuf Çakal focused on optimization of operational processes and industrial efficiency and offered practical suggestions to the participants. Nedim Yardımcı shared inspiring insights on performance management and the development of team competencies in the aviation industry. Yağmur Özel emphasized the importance of R&D studies in innovation processes and shared examples from her own projects.
The Q&A sessions organized after the speeches at the event provided participants with the opportunity to communicate one-on-one with industry professionals and find answers to their questions. In addition, career-oriented tips and guidance were offered for students throughout the event.
ALFA'24, which has become a tradition, was very productive in terms of information sharing and networking. In their statement, the members of the community expressed their gratitude to those who contributed to the organization of the Alpha Event and stated that they look forward to coming together again at the event to be held next year.
